Biography

I am a PhD student at the University of Copenhagen with Søren Molin , where my research focuses on microbial interactions during respiratory infections. My work investigates how microscale spatial organization influences the virulence and social behavior of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, particularly in the context of chronic lung infections such as those occurring in cystic fibrosis.

Using advanced experimental approaches, including 3D droplet bacterial bioprinting on human airway epithelial models cultured at the air–liquid interface, I study how spatial positioning affects P. aeruginosa interactions, quorum sensing, and virulence mechanisms within infection environments.

As part of my PhD, I am currently undertaking an external research stay as a guest PhD student in the Krishna Kumar group at Imperial College London, where I am further developing spatially controlled infection models to investigate bacterial interactions in human airway tissues using their inbuilt 3D droplet printer.
