MRes Student MRes student at Imperial College London, Biomedical Research

Biography
I am a MRes student in Biomedical Research working on exploring how manipulating oxygen and starting cell density levels can affect the growth of various species of the Bacteroidaceae family. In addition, I am also working on creating a robust method to accurately measure oxygen sensitivity in bacteria.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacology from the University of Toronto in September 2024 where I investigated ligand binding towards the Huntingtin + HAP40 protein as part of my undergraduate thesis and attempted to create a probiotic to counteract opportunistic C. difficile infections after antibiotic usage as part of my Biomedical Capstone Project. I then went on to become a research assistant in the lab of Dr. Roger McIntyre to look at the effects of ketamine and esketamine on quality of life in depressive patients before moving to Imperial College London in September 2025.
